I took this shot over 25 years ago and now it will be "repurposed" for a new vector project. I always thought this orchid looked like a woman's dress, and soon, that's what it will become. Check back in 3 or 4 days for the final result.

Kritter Kids "Break Up"
Kritter Kids "Break Up" has been completely overhauled from the original brush and ink line work. Vectoring was used for all the line work and coloring of the characters thanks to Inkscape. The background sky and stones were done in Photoshop.
My comic strip, Kritter Kids, should be fun to follow as I learn new vectoring techniques on Inkscape.

Steppin' Out
I shot (with a camera) this goose on the craggy shores of Maine. I used Kodachrome 64 slide film, a 200mm lens and my trusty Minolta X-700 35mm. The title, Steppin' Out, is inspired by the old Joe Jackson song.

Kritter Kids "Suzy"
This one was posted more than a year ago, but I'm trying to match my comic strip posts here with the ones on deviantART. Bear with me while I catch up. Also, I reworked the wording just a smidge.

My Little Buttercup
I'm not 100% sure this is a buttercup, but trying to identify it from photos on the web, it looks to be from the buttercup family at the very least. The title was inspired from Adam West's stirring rendition of "My Little Buttercup" on the old Batman TV show. This is a unique perspective of the underside of the flower as seen by a passing insect.

Slippery Slope
Here is my first attempt at making vector art. It was done using the free program, Inkscape. I still have so much to learn, but not too bad for a first try.

Fawn WIP
I'm working on my first vector art and learning as I go. Here is the sketch of what I hope to be the start of something great!

Waiting on a Friend
Where to start? This caricature of the Rolling Stones has a little bit of everything. The background of Stones' influences Robert Johnson, Son House and Muddy Waters was stenciled onto paper bricks glued to a wood base. The Stones figures are paper sculpture with some of the paper pieces painted. Finally, the background, originally many shades of blue, was digitally changed to black and white so the piece wouldn't be so busy.

Kritter Kids Crosswords
My apologies to my younger friends who may not know about Dan Quayle. He was a politician who was constantly presented to the public as not being too bright. He famously had an elementary student add an "e" to the word "potato" in a spelling bee.
