In the Beginning...

Life
We will open the book.  Its pages are blank.  We are going to put words on them ourselves.  The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is January.
-Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Laughter
My youngest son, who I call Tater, quoted John 3:16…"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have a very interesting life."

The Pursuit of Art

Polymer clay is my poison of choice for 2011 and for the foreseeable future. Look for African Tribal Masks and Celebrity Caricature Masks made from polymer clay that imitates wood, metal, rope and such. They can be framed and used as art, or added to a cord as a pendant, or just collected in a curio cabinet. Here’s an African Tribal Mask I completed at the end of 2010. All my masks are named and this one is called Ndugu. Ndugu was the name of Jack Nicholson’s pen pal in the movie "About Schmidt."
