This paper sculpture bookworm originally had 3 sets of "hands" and 3 books to go with those hands, but I didn't like how it looked. This still isn't great, but it sold right away. You never know what people are gonna go for.

Hawk "Sphinx" Moth
I found this moth at the foot of the tower where I work at the PHL airport. I brought him home with me and took a few photos before releasing him on a tree surrounded by nectar yielding plants and flowers.

Before & After
This is what my original "Shadows" comic strip looked like before doing it with vectors. Everything was changed, even the font and borders. And the turtle, Fleetwood, was completely changed in the last panel.

The Tower
I took this shot on a back road in lower New Castle County, Delaware. But what is it? I thought I knew of all the lighthouses in Delaware and I'm not aware of any one that looks like this. Maybe it's a lookout tower of some sort. Any information would be great.

Orchid Girl
Vectoring is more time consuming than I thought. Either that or I'm not very good at it. Yet. Anywho...the dress is actually an orchid photo I posted last week here on my blog. I always thought of that orchid as a dress and now you can see what was clangin' around in my head.
This project was done entirely in Inkscape, using various forms of the pen tool.
Thank you to my lovely model, Jessica, for the use of her stock photo. [link]

Julia Samples
Here are a few background samples to go with my old Julia Roberts caricature. The one in the middle is my favorite.

Gazania Color Splash
My son and I pulled into a rest stop in Smyrna, Delaware because I could see some colorful flowers there as we were driving by. This Gazania was very nice, but I just had to play with the colors.
